Terrific, well-priced little place that my son discovered walking by. I took him there for lunch today amd we were both delighted. He had Mongolian Lamb, and I had the shrimp in Hunan sauce, which had a nice, but not overwhelming, bite to it. For apps we had the crispy pork bellies, some dumplings in Sichuan sauce and some scallion pancakes. Very attentive service and a nice vibe. We are going to make it a regular stop. Knew it was going to be good when I saw a steady stream coming in for lunch on a Saturday in a part of the city that is normally dead on the weekends.

Favorite restaurant in DC for authentic, home style Chinese food. My favorite dishes are the ma po tofu and beef with spicy green peppers. Warning that both of these are pretty spicy. It can get pretty busy during dinner time and on weekends but it's worth the wait. Love the vibe in the restaurant as well.

Solid chinese food. some dishes better than others. favorites were the bokchoy, spicy eggplant (not very spicy), and the sour cabbage. The scallion pancake does not travel well, would only order that in, same with the crispy shredded beef which loses all texture. lo mein is average, and the crispy dry pepper chicken has good texture but pretty one note in flavor (spicy/szechuan peppercorn). They give a good amount of rice and fortune cookies with the meal

Been going here for years. My favorite Chinese food in DC area for years. The Mapo tofu, fried chicken with peppers, bean thread noodles with pork, eggplant with hot garlic sauce, king pao chicken, and spicy string beans are all great!

So so glad we chose Sichuan Pavilion for dinner when we were visiting DC. We were seriously craving Asian for dinner and decided to give it a try! We got seated fairly quickly! Our server was attentive and the food came out so quick! We got the crispy fried spicy chicken with some stir fried greens Achoy, rice, and a side of Hot and Sour soup. We were impressed with the food, it was hot and fresh! The chicken had the good numbing kick of sichuan pepper! The soup could have been better. It was slightly cold to our taste. The greens were not over done. Perfectly cooked. The place was bustling busy! The ambiance is that any other Chinese restaurant! It's cozy too! Bdw they serve some good teas and I loved their chilly paste. Highly recommend you to give it a try!

Hands down THE BEST Chinese restaurant in DC. Everything is amazing-- I always order the fish in hot sauce, eggplant, and chicken with dry peppers. The service is great and the ambiance is very casual-- good to come with a large group of friends to share many dishes.

Cute place! You get hot tea with your meal. The servers were so nice they even boxed up our food. I also tried the spring rolls everything was good!
